Box 2554, Culver City, CA. 90231-2554   Serenity   Our Mission The Jaclyn Literacy Society is a nonprofit organization which seeks to enrich human lives by providing opportunities to enhance literacy, health and wellness for all who desire these. Our philosophy is that each of these elements are as essential to man as are his/her needs for food, water, shelter, love, belonging and a clean environment. Our position is that everyone deserves to be free of disease, enjoy healthy living, feel safe and protected, have access to educational opportunities, employment, proper medical care, adequate nutrition, counseling and enjoy the benefits of psychological and physical well being. We feel that it is through the enrichment of the human cultural experience that man is allowed to develop aesthetic appreciations for the arts (literature, reading, poetry, music, song, fine art, arts and crafts and dance). These diverse forms of freedom of expression provisionally enhance man's overall daily living skills and/or academic skills  including educational studies  such as reading, writing, language arts, the humanities, mathematics, history, geography and  the earth sciences as well as the  physical, biological and health sciences. All of these expand  one's perceptual horizons, evoke positive energy, increase self-esteem,  endow personal growth and complement the necessities of  human life for man's pursuit of happiness, healthy living,  prosperity and a peaceful existence.
